Introduction
Client and Project
About Artfromdhart
Artfromdhart is the online gallery of Dragana Stanković, an independent painter based in Amstelveen, just outside Amsterdam. She came to painting from a career in business, as an ERP professional with a master’s degree in business economics, and it began as part of her recovery during a difficult time before it became the center of her creative life.
Her work is abstract and colorful, from bold compositions to quiet studies, and she exhibits with the art community around Amsterdam.
She needed a name and a mark of her own, and a website that puts the paintings first and makes it easy for buyers and galleries to get in touch.
My Responsibilities
- Brand identity: logo, color palette, typography.
- Brand applications: stationery, shopping bags, wall poster, brochure.
- Website: UI/UX design, WordPress development, gallery with full screen view, SEO basics.
Style Guide
Colors and Typography
The palette is taken from the studio rather than from the screen: warm linen and clay, like unprimed canvas and the wall behind it, so every painting keeps its own color. Coral marks the heart in the logo and plum gives it a dark ground, while a burnt orange shows where a visitor is and what can be clicked. Lora, a contemporary serif with a calligraphic touch, carries the headings and the quotes; Work Sans keeps the reading text plain, and DM Sans in spaced capitals labels each section like a gallery placard.
Logo design
Logo Versions
The mark is a picture frame with a heart drawn through it, the two shapes sharing one line, so it reads as both a canvas on the wall and the feeling behind it. The name hides the same idea: art from the heart. Set beside a lowercase Lora wordmark, it works in coral on light grounds, in white on coral and plum, and in a single dark color where color is not available.
Branding
Mood board
The identity carries from the screen to everything a buyer takes home: stationery and cards for letters and certificates, shopping bags for sold work, a poster for exhibitions and a brochure of the collection. Each piece keeps the linen ground and the coral heart, so a painting arrives with the same quiet presentation the website gives it.

Site Structure
Four pages, and the gallery is the heart of the site. The home page introduces the artist and shows a selection of recent work, the gallery holds the whole collection, About tells her story, and every page ends with the same short invitation to get in touch.

Home Page
Desktop View
The home page opens on a quote and a single photograph, then lets the artist introduce her style in her own words before the paintings take over. A grid of recent work leads to the full gallery, an announcement appears whenever an exhibition is coming up, and the page closes with an invitation to talk about a commission. Shown here at full length, top to bottom and left to right.
Inside Pages
About, Gallery, Contact
The inside pages share the same calm frame: a centered Lora title over a short line, then the content on a linen ground. The gallery is a masonry grid that keeps every painting at its own proportions, About sets her story beside photographs from the studio and exhibitions, and Contact keeps the form to name, email and message beside a map of Amsterdam. Each preview scrolls through the whole page.

On a phone the quote and photograph still open the page, the gallery becomes a single column so each painting fills the width of the screen, and every painting still opens full screen. The menu folds into a single button, and the contact form stacks into one column.

What Dragana gained
Outcomes of the launch
Artfromdhart launched in May 2024 as a new site and a new identity, so there was no earlier site to improve on. What follows is what the brand and the website gave her, and the evidence for each.
An independent painter with no brand became Artfromdhart, with a heart-in-a-frame mark, a linen and coral palette and one set of typefaces, used on the site, stationery, bags, poster and brochure.
59 paintings on one page, each opening full screen, so a buyer can see the whole body of work before a studio visit.
New paintings were added in five rounds, from May 2024 to September 2026, and the home page grid grew from 6 works in September 2024 to 13 today, with no designer involved.
Exhibitions are announced on the home page with a link to tickets, including her first exhibition with TheHolyArt in Amsterdam in July 2025.
Every page ends with an invitation to commission a painting, and the contact page offers a form, Instagram and a map.
